Coffee - nectar for the busiest of busy bees. Here are a few of our favorite coffee spots to grab a cup of Joe around Charleston that isn’t Starbucks.
Kudu Coffee and Craft Beer
Not only can you grab a cup of local coffee at Kudu, you can also grab a glass of a local brew.
On top of being known for their coffee blends and brews – you have to grab a Kudu croissant. A breakfast croissant goes really well with a cup of coffee or local brew.
Bitty & Beau’s Coffee
“Bitty & Beau’s Coffee is more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee – it’s an experience.” To us, Bitty & Beau’s is an incredible experience. The shop is run by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities – the unique customer service keeps coffee visitors smiling. A cup of coffee with huge smile on the side – priceless.
Burrell & Flynn's
This drive-thru coffee shop in West Ashley specializes in locally roasted coffee and a variety of baked goods. Their most popular baked good is their brownies – when it comes to homemade recipes, you have to have their chicken salad and ‘seriously sharp pimento cheese.’
Broom Wagon Coffee
Fairly new to the Lowcountry, Broom Wagon is a micro-batch, speciality coffee roaster and cafe that serves some mean waffle dishes. The coffee shop is unique as they pay homage to the broom wagon – a historic staple that follows cyclists along their route in many races. As the broom wagon was built to pick up struggling rides or encourage them to finish – the shop strives to be like the broom wagon. Help you stay in the race and enjoy the ride.
