Best Itty Bitty City for a quickie getaway? You guessed it: Charleston!

Although it seems all we do is grow and grow, the Holy City may still be considered “itty bitty, ” at least on one list. Hotwire has compiled their second annual list of “Best Cities for a Quickie Getaway” and Charleston has topped the pile in the itty bitty city category. To create this list, Hotwire analyzed more than 10,000 data points across 300 cities based on four key attractions: things to do, best bang for your buck, ease of arrival and population. They looked at the variety of entertainment options a city has to offer, number of bars and restaurants, sites and attractions to visit, the least number of rainy days per year, shortest drive times, hotel demand, prices and last-minute savings.

Charleston was one of the bigger cities in population on the itty bitty list, but ranked high in leisure activities and value.  Here is the complete list:
