Glow in the Dark Color Run

COST:  5K Sign up – $45, 1 mile fun run: $25

Grab your neon workout gear and get ready to break a sweat! The Glow Run returns to Kiawah Island, and whether you chose to go for the 5-k or just a mile of fun, you’ll be sure to enjoy the party. Runners will run through black light bubble and color stations. The race ends with a rockin’ glowing color party with a DJ and prizes!

Ronald McDonald House Charity Benefit

The Charleston community is invited to eat out for a great cause. Container Bar is giving back to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston. Celebrate this holiday season with your local first responders from the International Association of Firefighters. You can expect to find plenty of food, drinks, fire trucks, and live music.

The Ronald McDonald House is a 32-bedroom house in downtown Charleston which provides a home away from home for the families of children in the hospital. Over the last three years, they have had to turn away some 500 families each year due to the lack of rooms. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston are planning to expand, and this fundraiser was created to help them meet that goal.

Enjoy the weekend afternoon with scenic views of the Charleston Harbor and the City of Charleston’s Holiday Parade of Boats. All while shucking oysters and enjoying live music. Children 3 & under are free. Includes admission and live music. Food and beverages will be available for sale. Including buckets of oysters from Charleston Bay Gourmet and Dave ‘N’ Dubs will have a variety of hotdogs. A photo ID is required to enter the event.

28th Annual Reindeer Run

DATE: Saturday, Dec. 8
TIME: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
LOCATION: 161 East Bay Street
COST: $25 for children,$35 for adults

The Reindeer Run is a family-friendly event that will take you through the lower peninsula of Downtown Charleston. Bring your pets along for the festive day! More than 3 thousand runners have run this race. Proceeds from the Reindeer Run are split between the campaign for the MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital and the Charitable Society of Charleston.

Holiday Parade of Boats Viewing Party

Enjoy a nice evening along the Charleston Harbor and take advantage with the best seat in the house at the annual Holiday Boat Parade. The event is family friends with great food and drinks, live entertainment with Joe Gallagher Jr., and a visit from Santa.  Those who attend have a chance to win a brand new boat in the Rotary Holiday Raffle. All proceeds benefit Rotary service projects and programs in our local community.
