Stop by anytime through Monday and pick out your pet. Their elves will deliver! The Animal Society says thanks to Hendrick Charleston, their elves can deliver to you in style.

All of their pets come micro-chipped, vaccinated and spayed or neutered. The organization is offering special holiday pricing on all adoptions.

Animal Society officials encourage you to visit the shelter at 2455 Remount Rd. in North Charleston and find a furry family member to start the year off right.

If you can’t adopt, you can still help by becoming a Holiday Hero. Society officials say let them teach you how to become an adoption agent and you can do that the following ways:

  1. Visit the shelter and pick an animal that you think you can help get adopted.
  2. Show it to friends and family!
  3. Take it to the beach and to holiday parades.
  4. The Society will help guide you through the adoption process when someone says yes.

The Animal Society says most animals in the United States are adopted from friends and family and it hopes to tap into this resource to get as many animals adopted as possible.
