The sole fundraiser for the Charleston Trident Urban League is set for Nov. 15 and tickets are on sale now.
The organization’s annual gala will take place at the Belmont Charleston Place Hotel’s grand ballroom at 7 p.m. This year’s theme is Equal Opportunity and Diversity.
The Charleston Trident Urban League promotes diversity and racial inclusion and provides multifaceted programs that assist African Americans and all other under-served groups to achieve social equality and economic self-sufficiency.
The gala recognizes people and businesses supporting efforts in the community to improve the lives of minorities.
Live 5’s Ann McGill and Steven St. James of Star 99.7 are hosts for the event. The guest speaker is former South Carolina lawmaker and Lieutenant Governor candidate Bakari Sellers.
The dress for the gala is business attire but Black Tie is also welcome.
Ticket prices are $125 per person.
For more information on the gala, visit the organization’s website at CTUL.org.
The Urban League helps thousands across the Lowcountry with free programs such as income tax preparation and home-buying workshops. The organization has served the greater Charleston community for more than a quarter-century.
