What’s better than happy hour? Happy hour under sweeping oaks in a beautiful park and that’s exactly what you can do this September. Charleston County Parks will debut it’s new Toast Under the Oaks on Thursday, September 10 and follow with a second one on Thursday, September 24. Guests will enjoy wine, beer and live music under the oaks at Johns Island County Park from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Beer and wine are included with admission and food trucks will be available to purchase dinner.
On September 10, live music will be provided by Jacob Poole and Southern Roots Smokehouse will have their food truck on site. On September 24, Ted McKee will be the entertainment and Chicken Fats food truck will be serving up dinner.
Admission is $15 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are limited to 150 per event to encourage social distancing. Registration is available for ages 21 and up until 2 p.m. on the day of the event or until it is sold out. Visit Charleston County Parks website or call 843-795-4386 to reserve a spot.
Safety will be a top priority at these events. Guests must wear a mask when interacting with staff and volunteers. Masks are not required when eating or drinking. Staff will also wear masks and other personal protective equipment. Restooms and hand sanitizer will be available at the event. This is a family friendly event meant to be enjoyed while social distancing, so guests are encouraged to be mindful and courteous of neighbors. Valid ID is required for alcohol and dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash. Bring your own chair or blanket and relax under the oaks!
