A Tribute to Whitney Houston

Celebrating one of the greatest voices of all time. “A Tribute to Whitney Houston” celebrates her music with a look at her greatest hits. Held at the Charleston Music Hall, this evening will be start studded as Charlton Singleton will bring his wildly popular and talented friends back to their home. Quiana Parler will be leading the audience through all of Whitney Houston’s hits. Quiana has been seen and heard all over the world with Kelly Clarkson, Keith Sweat, Miranda Lambert and many more.

Movies at Magnolia: Jumanji “Return of the Jungle" Film

Start your weekend off with a fun-filled movie night! At Magnolia Park, you can catch “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle”. It’s family friendly and there will be jungle-themed activities, including Jungle Animal Charades, Who’s the Monkey, Catch the Snake’s Tail, and more. The movie will begin at dark, and there will be plenty of food and snacks to buy at the event.

Charleston Pride Festival

Benjamin Starr Presents: A Water Album

If you’ve lived in the Lowcountry for awhile, chances are you’ve heard of this hip-hop native. Benny Starr is a master of lyricism and flow, with a profound grasp of history and social issues. In a first of it’s kind show at the Charleston Music Hall, Benny will record his newest project, “A Water Album” live in the city that inspired him, in front of an audience with fellow friends of music.

Sea and Sand Street Festival

COST: $6 in advance, $10 at the door

Here’s another excuse to head to the beach this weekend! The Sea and Sand festivla continues with the “Sea and Sand” street festival Saturday morning. The festival will include up to 70 arts, crafts, and fashion vendors, as well as live music and areas for kids to play in with fun activities.
