Restrictions on restaurants are loosening up, but you might not be comfortable leaving quarantine yet. If so, this is the meal plan for you! Three local businesses teamed up to launch the Charleston Quarantine Supper Club. They offer 12, limited-time-only “Supper and a Story” events. Enjoy an amazing meal, and after that all the appeal of a fun night out, right from you home!
The Charleston Quarantine Supper Club was created by Bulldog Tours, Hamby Catering and local marketing company, Trio Solutions Inc. (TRIO). The virtual supper club includes a guided culinary history tour, comedy, and a trivia game. Not to mention the opportunity to virtually connect with other locals. Housemade meals including an appetizer, entrée, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage come to each attendee’s home on the night of the supper club. Then attendees will join other locals and one of Bulldog Tours’ culinary food tour guides. It’s an hour-long, dining-storytelling experience.
The virtual “Supper and a Story” events will be available from May 20 to May 31. There are twelve events available over six days and at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Also, each event will be emceed by comedian, Michael Clayton. Clayton is a Charleston-native, and he’s quarantining at home in the Lowcountry. Meanwhile one of Bulldog Tours’ tour guides will host the culinary tour and storytelling portion of the event.
Supper and a Story is available for $59 per person and is only available for a limited time. Each dining event will host up to ten “tables.” The experience will be available with an online Zoom meet-up invitation.
