Easter sunrise in the Lowcountry

Sunrise Easter Service at Folly Pier

Easter is Sunday, April 21st, 2019. If you’re looking to celebrate Easter in the beauty of a spring sunrise here are a few early morning worship services around the Lowcountry.

St. Andrew’s at Boone Hall – almost a year after the church experienced a tragic fire, they are working to rebuild and they’re inviting you to come celebrate the resurrection outdoors.  The Worship Band starts at 8:30 am, service begins at 9 am and will end by 10:20. Chairs are provided. Childcare is available.

Magnolia Plantation sunrise service sponsored by Old St. Andrew’s Parish, St. Andrew’s Mission Church, and The Church of the Good Shepherd – starts at 6:30 am, the parking is free and you can stay and enjoy the gardens after the service.

Sunrise Presbyterian Church service on Sullivan’s Island – starts at 6:30 on the beach at Breach Inlet.

First Baptist Church of Charleston– start 6:30 am in White Point Gardens at the Battery.

Bethel United Methodist in Summerville – will have service at 6:30 am in Azalea Park, they ask that you bring your own chairs.

Sunrise service on the Folly Pier hosted by Folly Beach Baptist – the service starts at 7 am and has drawn some big crowds in the past few years.
