Explore South Carolina State Parks for FREE

Did you know you can access any of South Carolina’s State Parks free of charge…just by using your Charleston County Public Library Card?  From the shores of Edisto Beach to the mountains at Table Rock, South Carolina State Park Exploration Kits are all you need and they’re now available for checkout. All you need is an active CCPL library card (temporary e-cards not included) to check out:

·         A pass for FREE entry to any SC State Park

·         A magnifying glass and binoculars

·         A recommended reading list

·         A list of all 47 State Parks

CCPL branches are currently closed to the public, but you can place a hold online or by calling your local branch Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (hours are subject to change). Once your kit is ready, claim it via curbside service from 16 of our 17 branch locations (Poe/Sullivan’s Island is currently not offering curbside service). Kits can be checked out for a up to 2 weeks and safely returned to your branch at the bookdrop.
