Get ready for some Lowcountry Christmas Tree Lightings!

Join in the lighting of the Christmas trees and holiday parades around the Lowcountry this year. Towns and cities alike won’t let the pandemic keep their holiday spirit down. They’ll be safely celebrating this year, and invite you to join in on the festivities.

North Charleston

Friday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m.

Join the Mayor of North Charleston for the lighting of the 40′ Christmas Tree at the Felix C. Davis Community Center, 4800 Park Circle. You can also accompany the Charleston Caroling Company in singing some holiday tunes. Or take a stroll around the Circle to enjoy the rest of the beautiful tree and light displays.

Goose Creek

Friday, December 4 at 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

See the city’s Christmas tree light up at the Goose Creek Municipal Center. Their ‘Christmas in the Creek’ celebration features holiday hayrides, carolers, holiday crafts, marshmallow roasting, photos with Santa, and LOTS more! The tree lighting will take place at 6:00 p.m. The Lakeside Light Display will be up throughout the month of December.

Mt. Pleasant

Sunday, December 13 at 5:30 p.m.

Mt. Pleasant celebrates their 25th annual Christmas Light Parade this year! The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. with a spectacular Pyrotecnico fireworks show. After that, floats and groups of people plan to march up West Coleman Boulevard.

Join the Moncks Corner community at Market Pavilion (418 East Main Street). There they’ll be celebrating their 27th annual Christmas Tree Lighting.

Tuesday, December 1 at 5:30 p.m.

Summerville plans to light their Christmas Tree at the Summerville Town Hall. As part of the tree lighting, shop owners invite the community to stroll throughout Historic Downtown Summerville. You can enjoy the decorated and live action windows and many places will be open late so you can grab a drink and a bite to eat while you enjoy the evening.
