While schools are out in Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties due to the COVID-19 situation, Magnolia is offering free admission on Wednesdays and Thursdays for families with children.

For as long as they can, Magnolia will remain open to provide guests with a safe outdoor place to practice social distancing by avoiding close contact with other people. The free admission policy is for families with children in tri-county households. Proof of residency is encouraged.

While you’re there, remember to visit the Children’s Garden. It’s a perfect place for young people to stay connected with nature and enjoy an assortment of fairy houses. Kids can also enjoy the winding story walk. This month it features the book, “My Lantern and the Fairy,” by Lin Xin. It is a bilingual book (Chinese-English) about Chinese lanterns and kindness.

Magnolia has also installed more hand sanitizer dispenser and are cleaning and sterilizing the restrooms and public areas more frequently. Keep an eye on their website for any additional updates.
