Party meets purpose on Shem Creek in a couple of weeks for the 16th annual “Mardi Crawl.” Hosted by the Lowcountry Parrothead Club, the event raises money for the state chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, Pet Helpers and other local charities.
On Friday, February 28th, the Lowcountry Parrot Head Club will host a pre-party at the upstairs bar at RB’s. It will feature food & drink specials, a silent auction, and music by DJ Gerry Scott from 6pm to 10pm.
On Saturday, February 29, registration for the Mardi Crawl will begin at noon at Red’s Ice House. Starting at 1 pm, attendees will travel to each of the participating restaurants on foot, by limo, or water taxis. Participating restaurants include Red’s Ice House, RB’s Seafood Restaurant, Vickery’s Bar and Grill, Water’s Edge, and Saltwater Cowboys. The after-party starts at 7:00pm at Red’s Ice House with live music from Saluda Shoals.
You can enjoy food and drink specials at each restaurant, interactive games, along with live music with Taco Donkey and Lauren Hill Band. The crawl takes place on Saturday, February 29th from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Then after the crawl, party it up at the after party event at 7 at Red’s Icehouse.
Register for the crawl online for $25 or at the registration table the day of the crawl for $30. Then pick up your registration packet in front of Red’s Icehouse starting at noon the day of the crawl.
