Check out these options for family friendly ways to celebrate Halloween this year!

Trick or Treat BOO THRU

Date: Friday, October 30

Time: 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Location: Hampton Park, downtown Charleston

Cost: Free but tickets are required

Drive through a mile of Halloween fun along the Hampton Park loop. You’ll get goodies, have funny family pictures taken from your vehicle, hunt for pumpkins and more. Feel free to wear your costume and decorate your vehicle for a chance to win prizes! The event is free but be sure to register for a time slot.

Mt Pleasant Trunk or Treat 2020

Date: Friday, October 30 | 4 p.m. – dusk

Location: Mr. Pleasant Police Department Bank Street Neighborhood Office (309 Bank Street) & The Carolina Park Recreation Complex (1620 Recreation Way)

Cost: FREE!

The Mount Pleasant Police Department will be participating in their annual Truck or Treat event at two locations. They will be at Bank Street Neighborhood Office (309 Bank Street) & The Carolina Park Recreation Complex (1620 Recreation Way) from 4:00 pm to dusk on Friday October 30th. Mask and social distancing will be in place.

Trunk or Treat and Movie in the Park

Date: Friday, October 30

Time: 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Location: Hanahan Ampitheater

The Hanahan Recreation Department is hosting this fun event. Trunk or Treat begins at 6 p.m. followed by a costume contest and then a screening of the movie Casper!

Goose Creek Trunk-or-Treat

Date: Saturday, October 31 | 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Location: Goose Creek Police Department

Cost: FREE!

Community Trunk-or-Treat in the GCPD parking lot. Community members are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a proper face coveringsĀ while in line or participating in an activity.

Patriot's Point Offering Spooky Fun

Date: Friday, October 30 to Sunday, November 1

Location: Patriot’s Point Naval & Maritime Museum, Mount Pleasant

Cost: Visitors dressed in Halloween costumes only pay child’s rate for admission

In addition to the discounted rate for suiting up, you also have the chance to win a prize pack that includes two year-long passes to the Yorktown as well as apparel. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase daytime ghost tours.

South Carolina Aquarium Haunted Trail

Date: October 1 to 31

Time: 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Location: South Carolina Aquarium

Cost: Free with admission or membership

The Haunted Trail at the South Carolina Aquarium takes you through eight spooky-themed rooms where scary surprises await you at every turn.
