What better way to celebrate fall than carnival rides, cotton candy and crafts? Tickets to the 150th South Carolina State Fair are currently on sale!
The Fair will run Oct. 9-20, but discount tickets are available up until Oct. 8. Discount tickets and ride vouchers are available at participating Circle K stores and at scstatefair.org.
Tickets can also be found at the South Carolina State Fair’s roving ticket booth, FRED. FRED will be traveling throughout the Columbia region until Oct. 8. To Find locations and times, visit findfred.org.
Don’t miss new foods this year such as the Chili Mac Attack Sundae, Birthday Cake Funnel Cake, or the Double Dog Corndog. Visitors can also expect entertainment anywhere from a double-decker merry-go-round to pig races. The “Heritage Village” attraction offers a hands-on-museum experience where guests will have the opportunity to assist a blacksmith and watch an authentic medicine, magic show. Advance admission tickets are $7 and advance ride vouchers are $25. Once the fair begins, admission is $10 and ride vouchers range from $30-35. Admission is free for children 5 and under and for active and retired military and their families with the proper ID. Adults over 55 are admitted for $7 every day.
