Spirit-Free Cocktail Competition Raises Awareness on Substance Abuse

The Lowcountry is known for its tasty competitions as Charleston boasts many award winning chefs and mixologists.  But this week, a different kind of competition is coming to town. The Spirit-Free Cocktail competition is raising awareness of substance abuse and addiction in the Food and Beverage Industry. Participants can create their best spirit-free cocktail for a chance to win a thousand dollar credit to Uber/Uber Eats. The winner will also be crowned the “Mocktail Champion”. Those who attend can also enjoy live music, food and drinks. Though the competition is placing a focus on drinks without “spirits” the event is still only available for those 21 and up.

Here’s what you need to know if you attend:

Date: Tuesday, January 15

Time: 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Location: The Cocktail Club, 479 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403
