Taco Bell Adds Hottest Pepper in the World from South Carolina to Menu

It’s getting hot in here! No, literally. Taco Bell is turning up the heat with two of their menu items. The Steak Reaper Ranch Fries Supreme and burrito are dressed with non-other than the Carolina Reaper Pepper, which is grown in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Taco Bell posted on their website stating that their “official scientific spice research team hunted far and wide for the hottest pepper [they] could find, which made for a lot of burned tongues and landed [them] in sunny Rock Hill, South Carolina. [They] went to sample the famed Carolina Reaper Pepper—a Ghost Pepper x Habanero hybrid that clocks in at scorching speeds and was literally declared the World’s Hottest Chili Pepper by the Guinness Book of World Records.”

The spicy dishes coming from the Mexican-inspired restaurant chain has a cool element becuase Taco Bell mixed the Carolina Reaper with ranch to make a creamy sauce. The Carolina Reaper Fries were originally tested back in August of 2018 in Cincinnati. Put some spice in your life soon because these dishes full of heat are only being offred for a limited time and at participating locations only.
