Lowcountry Oyster Festival at Boone Hall returns

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - The world’s largest oyster festival returns to Boone Hall Plantation & Gardens on February 6. The Lowcountry Oyster Festival boasts 60,000 pounds of oysters this year! In addition to oysters, food can be purchased from a variety of vendors in the “Food Court” which showcases a variety of local flavors. The Oyster Shucking and Eating Contest begins at noon. If you want to participate, sign-up day of from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. under the main stage tent.

General admission tickets are $22. Children under 10 are free with an adult general admission ticket. This ticket grants you admission but you must purchase food and beverages once inside. If you’d like the VIP experience, that will set you back $175. This option supplies you with an unlimited amount of food and beverages inside your VIP tent, including steamed oysters! It’s a very popular option and frequently sells out so you may want to buy these tickets in advance. Sorry, no kids allowed in the VIP area. Must be 21+.

Gates open at 10 a.m. and the event ends at 5 p.m.
