Lowcountry Lowdown January 14th - 16th

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - Are you ready for an amazing weekend in the Lowcountry? Here’s how you can make the most of it.

Get a taste of the season this Saturday here at Mex 1 in West Ashley. It’s the 5th Annual Snowboard Rail Jam. Around 40,000 pounds of snow is being brought in for the event to create a snowboarding jump and rail. Regional and national amateur snowboarders will showcase their tricks. If you are looking for a pet the following event is for you. Saturday at the James Island County Park there’s the Love All Dogs adoption event. Several pet friendly vendors will be on site along with adoptable dogs. There will also be Kitten Camper at the event with adoptable kittens and cats. Also enjoy live music and local food vendors. Head to Folly Beach for Taste of Folly Festival which concludes Saturday. This festival will showcase the city and its culinary and cocktail scene. Center street will be closed on “Savory Saturday”.
