CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - The Greek Orthodox Church of The Holy Trinity invites you to “Be Greek for the weekend” at the fifty-first annual Greek Festival. Food, fun and live entertainment will be happening Friday, May 6 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Eastern, Saturday, May 7 from11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday, May 8 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m at 30 Race Street, Charleston, S.C. 29403.
Festival-goers can park at no charge at Harborview Office Tower located at 19 Hagood Avenue in Charleston and take advantage of complementary shuttle service to and from the festival.
Food available for purchase will include traditional favorites like gyro sandwiches, pork souvlaki and Greek seasoned fries, pastichio, moussaka, and spinach pies. A variety of delicious Greek pastries and wines will also be available. As a special treat for Mother’s Day, lamb will be on the menu for Sunday, May 8 only.
Tours inside the Greek Orthodox Church of The Holy Trinity will take place regularly each day of the festival. Vendors will also be on site present with fine art, Greek jewelry and clothing, specialty olive oils and more for sale.
