Lowcountry Lowdown May 6-8

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - An iconic Lowcountry event continues this weekend in North Charleston. It’s the North Charleston Arts Fest! Enjoy performances, activities, and exhibits in a variety of venues throughout the city. This celebration of art highlights local and regional artists and performers in dance, music, theatre, visual arts...and literature. Every single event is free to attend.

Another annual festival continues this weekend: The Charleston Greek Festival. This festival celebrates Greek culture through a variety of events. Enjoy Greek food, wine, live music, dancing, vendors and more. You can also tour the historic Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity

Enjoy the outdoors with the family at the Youth Fishing Rodeo in Goose Creek. This event gives children under the age of 16 the opportunity to catch fish. Bait will be provided, but participants should bring their own rod and reel.

The Charleston Dragonboat Festival returns to Charleston Saturday. It’s an event full of costumes, colorful tents, and competitive paddling, all for a good cause. All the money raised benefits cancer survivor programs.
