Get to The Joe for the RiverDogs’ last homestand

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - The Charleston RiverDogs will host the Myrtle Beach Pelicans for their final regular season homestand August 30 - September 4. The team is battling for a playoff berth and has plenty of fun planned at the ballpark all week long.

Tuesday, August 30, 7:05 p.m.: “Ambassa-Dog” Dog Show/Dog Day: It’s the final chance to bring your dog to a game during the regular season and enjoy a special dog show to determine the 2023 Dog Days Ambassa-Dog. Plus, fill up on $2 hot dogs and beer as Twisted Tea adds a new twist with goofy on-field games and fan-oriented fun throughout the game.

Wednesday, August 31, 7:05 pm: Boiled Peanuts Night/Wicked Wednesday : For the final time this season, the team will suit up as their alternate identity, the Boiled Peanuts! Buy one ticket in any section (excluding Diamond View) and receive another ticket for free with the code: RIVAL.

Thursday, September 1, 7:05 pm: Squad Goals/Amputee Awareness Night/Thirsty Thursday™: A squad of 50 or more will receive 100 Doggy Dollars. The first six hundred fans into the ballpark will receive a boot-shaped cup. As always, $1 beers are available throughout the ballpark all night long. $4 well cocktails will also be available during “happy hour” from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Enjoy live music in the Ashley View Pub courtesy of DJ DollaMenu.

Friday, September 2, 7:05 pm: LIVE 5 NIGHT/Red Jersey Auction/Friday Fireworks/Boeing Red Shirt Friday: The RiverDogs red alternate jerseys, which have been worn for every Friday home game this season, will be auctioned off during the game. Following play, enjoy the final fireworks show of the season set to live music from the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Fridays are presented by 103.5 WEZL and Live 5 News.

Saturday, September 3, 6:05 pm: Marvel Super Hero™ Night/Military Appreciation Night/Saturdays Live at The Joe: RiverDogs will don Captain America themed jerseys which will be auctioned off throughout the game. Saturday is also the season’s final tribute to those serving in the military. Members of the military can receive a free ticket to the game by calling the RiverDogs box office and the team will make their latest inductions into the Hall of Honor. After the game, stick around for an LED ballpark light show.

Sunday, September 4, 5:05 pm: MUSC Health Family Sunday: Parking is free for the family-oriented final home game of the season! Before, during and after each Sunday home game, we will make it all about the kids. From the video board, to between innings contests, and even the opportunity to run the bases, Sundays are sure to be a memorable day for the whole family. Following the game, we will honor one of our players as the 2022 Top Dog.

Free Labor Day Concert: On September 5, the city of Charleston is hosting a free Labor Day celebration at The Joe. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. with a Charleston Symphony Orchestra performance beginning at 8:00 and fireworks after the concert. Tickets are free, but must be obtained in advance here.
