Dogs will make a splash this weekend at Charleston County Waterparks

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - As waterpark season comes to an end, Charleston County Parks wants your pups to go out with a… splash! Three waterparks are hosting the annual Dog Day Afternoons to close out the 2022 season. Splash Island and Splash Zone will hold their event on September 10th, and Whirlin’ Waters will go to the dogs on September 11th. Dogs and their owners are invited to register for timed sessions from 1 p.m to 3 p.m with limited capacity, so register in advance now! The 10 a.m to 12 p.m sessions have sold out.

Registration fees for each session are $15 per dog in advance and $20 per dog at the waterpark gate, if available. Palmetto Islands and James Island County Park admission fees are with purchase.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the concession stands and fresh water will be available for the dogs. Be sure to check out the rules for humans and canines before you go.
