Celebrate ‘Woofstock’ this weekend

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - The annual fundraiser for local rescues and shelters, Woofstock, makes its return on Oct. 8 at Hanahan Amphitheater!

First held in 2019, the award-winning Woofstock returns with the biggest line-up to date, including platinum-selling artists LIT! Back again this year will be Kevn Kinney from Drivin N Cryin and Greg West from Florida. New this year is American Idol’s Carly Moffa and Charleston locals, Jared Petteys & the Headliners, and Kate Vera. Artists will be playing a great variety of music all day long.

Proceeds from this festival will benefit 10 local rescues and shelters: Dorchester Paws, Berkeley Animal Center, All 4 Paws, Eunoia Rescue, Pet Helpers, Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary, Carolina Boxer Rescue, Libby & Mace’s Place, Save the Clefts, and Waters Edge Great Dane Rescue.

Discount advance tickets are currently $35, and admission will be $50 at the gate. Kids 12 and under are free.

Lowcountry Dog Magazine, along with Pet Supplies Plus and David Aylor Law Offices, present WOOFSTOCK: A Lowcountry Dog Music Festival at Hanahan Amphitheater.

In addition to great music, the festival includes some of the Lowcountry’s best food trucks, craft vendors, local dog businesses, kid’s activities, and a dog lure course. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome, and attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. No coolers or outside food or drinks are allowed. Adult beverages will be offered by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Southern Eagle, and Estuary Brewery.
