‘Something sweet’: Bojangles teams with NC brewery for hard sweet tea

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - Restaurant chain Bojangles has teamed up with a North Carolina brewery to create an adult version of a southern staple.

Bojangles Hard Sweet Tea mixes Bojangles sweet tea with the brewers of Appalachian Mountain Brewing.

Though the new brew won’t be available at any Bojangles restaurant, shoppers in North and South Carolina will get a shot to pick up a 12-pack of 12-ounce cans or individual 16-ounce cans in stores like Circle K, QT, Sheetz, Spinx, Harris Teeter, ingles, Lowes, Walmart, Food Lion and other retailers beginning in March.

“This collaboration is something sweet,” Bojangles Chief Brand and Marketing Officer Jackie Woodward said. “Partnering with AMB to craft our Legendary Iced Tea into a hard tea for fans of legal drinking age was a natural fit, and the team poured passion into the entire process. We can’t wait for fans to try it!”

The brands say the new beverage is perfect for “any occasion when you want to bring the fun.”
