Chattanooga Ballet coming to Summerville

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - Chattanooga Ballet is bringing its Art/motion tour to Summerville. The tour will be at the Summers Corner Performing Arts Center on Friday, January 27 at 7:30 p.m. featuring choreography by notable up-and-coming national artists, Autumn Eckman and Tyler Gilstrap, and CHA Ballet’s Artistic Director, Brian McSween.

The company has a special Lowcountry connection. Dancer Pierceton Mazell is a native of Summerville and in his second season with Chattanooga Ballet. Mazell is a recent alumnus of the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities. His professional dance career began under the direction of Brad and Jennifer Moranz in the “Charleston Christmas Special” as well as showcasing their choreography in “The Righteous Gemstones” on HBO.
