Celebrate barbecue and beer Saturday in Summerville

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - The Southern Roots Smoke Show brings together the best barbecue and craft breweries in the Lowcountry this Saturday.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Brown Family Park, 3000 Front St. in Summerville.

It will feature local barbecue from Southern Roots Smoke House, art, vendors, live music, craft beer and kid-friendly activities.

Visitors can enjoy whole hog plates and samples of ribs, wings and brisket.

Live music will be provided by Forty Mile Detour.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and can be purchased at the show’s Eventbrite site.

Sampling tickets will include food and beer tastings and will be avilable for purchase on-site.

Proceeds will benefit the Summerville Parks Foundation.
