CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - Charleston County Parks has announced the schedule for this year’s Starlight Yoga series.
Beginning in April, the seven evening event series will take place at various locations in the park system.
The first Starlight Yoga is scheduled for April 6, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Pier, with live music performed by Gregory Guay.
Organizers say the moon and stars enhance the yoga class, which is inclusive and open to all abilities and fitness levels. Participants will also receive a special glow-in-the-dark gift.
There are several opportunities to take part in Starlight Yoga. You can find the schedule below:
- April 6, 7:30 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Pier
- May 11, 7:30 p.m. at Johns Island County Park
- June 1, 7:30 p.m. at Folly Beach County Park
- July 6, 7:30 p.m. at Folly Beach County Park
- Sept. 14, 7:30 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Pier
- Oct. 12, 6:30 p.m. at Wannamaker County Park
- Nov. 6, 6:30 p.m. at James Island County Park
This year’s event will be hosted by Kelly-Jean, a certified Rolfer who has been teaching yoga and contemplative movement for almost two decades.
