CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - We have events for you, your friends and your family this Lowcountry weekend.
The Highwater Festival is coming to Riverfront Park this weekend, and you have the chance to get tickets. This year’s festival will feature Rainbow Kitten Suprise, Beck, Wilco, Shovels & Rope, Bleachers and many more artists. VIP options are available along with the tastiest local eateries and feel free to shop at the market on-site at the festival. General one-day admission tickets are $110, and General two-day admission is $200. VIP packages range from $300 and up.
The 2023 Bee Expo at Brittlebank Park is on Saturday. This is a free family-friendly education event where beekeepers from the Lowcountry will educate about bees and products of the hive like honey, wax and royal jelly. There will be hands-on activities for all ages, native plant experts, line music and food trucks. You can also apply to become a vendor, and volunteers are needed to assist with parking, the cotton candy booth, the raffle booth and more.
The Charleston Stage Theatre Company debuted their upcoming play Once On This Island on Friday, which will last through April 30th at The Historic Dock Street Theatre. This play follows the coming-of-age story of a young woman who falls for a wealthy man at a time when different social classes could not mix. If you are interested, tickets range from $46.50-$85.50 for adults and vary for seniors, students and active military.
