CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - If you are looking for the perfect way to kick off your Mother’s Day Weekend, we have some events for you, Mom and the rest of the family.

The 52nd Annual Charleston Greek Festival starts on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. This celebration is full of Greek culture. Plan to enjoy Greek food, wine, live music and dancing. From exploring Greek history to cultural experiences, there seems to be something for every visitor here. Tickets for this weekend-long event are $5, and you can purchase them online.

If you are looking for something to do with Mom, we have got you covered. Celebrate Mother’s Day with DIY Terrarium Building hosted by the PlantHouse in Mount Pleasant. The guest selects a day and one-hour time slot and enjoys building time. There will be a crew member on-site to make sure all attendees leave with a memorable experience.

The 2nd Annual Mother and Daughter Brunch hosted by The Lotus Girls Mentor Group is this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. This brunch features performances, keynote speakers and catering. This year’s theme is “The Butterfly Effect,” so be sure to dress to impress. You are able to donate to the organization, and all proceeds go directly to The Lotus Girls’ Mentor Group.

The Charleston County Parks & Rec will officially open its doors to its water parks for the season on Saturday. The water parks will be open on weekends only in May.
