CHARLESTON, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - Charleston County Parks kicks off the 2023 Reggae Nights Concert Summer Series at James Island County Park on June 2! The first concert of the four-part series will feature reggae band Equal Rights.
Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and music begins at 8 p.m. Event gates will close to incoming traffic at 10:30 p.m. and music will end at 11 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for seating in the meadow at James Island County Park.
The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series is open to all ages. A variety of food options from local food trucks and vendors, as well as beverages (beer, wine and Coke products) are available for purchase on site. Crafters and vendors will also be on site with souvenirs and gifts available for purchase.
New this year – advance tickets will be available for the Reggae Nights Concert Series. Advance tickets are $10 per person and available at CharlestonCountyParks.com. Tickets purchased at the event will be $15 per person. Gold Pass holders and kids 12 and under are free and do not require a ticket. Concerts will take place rain or shine.
No outside alcohol or coolers are permitted into the event. Dogs are welcome, but must remain leashed at all times.

June 2 – Equal Rights
June 23 – Ras Bonghi and the Reggae All Stars
July 14 – Mystic Vibrations
Aug. 4 – Amani Smith and the Give Thanks Band
