3rd Annual Lowcountry Juneteenth Week 2023

HANAHAN, S.C. (Lowcountry Weekend) - The 3rd Annual Lowcountry Juneteenth Week Festival celebrates Black Excellence! The week-long festival will highlight black owned businesses with curated events throughout the city.

“Juneteenth” also referred to as Freedom Day or Liberation Day is the longest running African American Holiday celebrating the emancipation of African Americans who had been enslaved in the United States.

Through Lowcountry Juneteenth Week we aim to magnify an often overlooked moment in African American history. Join us June 12th – June 19th as we empower, celebrate and educate through Gullah History, arts and culture.

Events include Kid’s Day & HBCU College Fair, LJW Honors Luncheon, Gospel Concert, and more.

The week will come to a close with a star-studded weekend with live performances by GOODIE MOB Featuring CEE LO GREEN on June 16th and a special concert finale Saturday June 17th. More artist to be announced.
