Grind for Life Series skates into the Lowcountry Oct. 2

Charleston County Parks just announced a new installment in the Grind for Life series. This street and bowl skateboarding contest is coming to SK8 Charleston October 2nd from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Grind for Life runs on a strict schedule. In the morning contestants get a chance to practice. The rest of the day features street skating and bowl competitions in various categories and age groups, as well as an awards presentations. Schedule changes can’t be made. Get there on time!

Online pre-registration is $35 and highly recommended. Pre-registration is available online here. On-site registration is $40. However, first time competitors in a Grind for Life contest WON’T be charged a registration fee. All skaters must complete both a Grind for Life and SK8 Charleston wavier. Participants under 18 must have waivers completed by a parent or legal guardian. A portion of entry fees from the event will be donated to the Grind for Life Organization. They raise money to assist cancer patients with travel expenses for their treatment.
